About the estate:
The Grier family, owners of a vineyard in South Africa renowned for its sparkling wines, established this 25-hectare estate in the Fenouillèdes region in 2006. They entrusted its management to Raphël Graugnard, who brings all his experience to bear in producing wines that symbolize the successful union of the Old and New Worlds.

About wine:
Not yet bottled, Galamus 2016 is a blend of almost equal parts Syrah, Grenache, and Carignan, aged in 30% new oak. Notes of toast, cedar, and vanilla mark the nose, but there is plenty of rich, velvety fruit to balance things out. It is full-bodied and ripe, bordering on warmth and excess, so drink it now and for the next two years for its hedonistic qualities.
