A renowned producer of sparkling wines in Stellenbosch, South Africa—using the Cap Classic method—the Grier family created Domaine Grier in the heart of the Agly Valley in 2006.
The Domaine Grier vineyard covers 22 hectares in a single block. In order to vinify their own grapes and produce quality wines, the Grier family acquired a 19th-century stone cellar.
Halfway between the New World and Roussillon, Domaine Grier produces white wines made from Maccabeu and Chardonnay, reds from Grenache, Syrah, and Carignan, as well as a sparkling wine that showcases the Grier family's expertise.
