Château de Péna - Muscat de Rivesaltes
3*Coup de Coeur
Hachette
"A superb freshness that really lingers on the finish (Hachette)"
“With a lovely deep yellow color and golden highlights, this expressive Muscat opens up unreservedly with aromas of honey, white peach, and citrus (orange, mandarin). A clean and dynamic attack leads into a full-bodied, long, and intense palate centered on yellow fruits and orange zest, supported by superb freshness that beautifully extends the finish. It would pair beautifully with a Grand Marnier ice cream soufflé.” (Le Guide Hachette 2025)

About the estate:
The village of Cases-de-Pène takes its name from a 10th-century hermitage built on a limestone rock (pena in Catalan) that closes off the Agly Valley. The black schist soils alternate with the ochre-colored clay-limestone soils, forming two superb terroirs where the twenty or so winemakers of the local cooperative—founded in 1942 and representing 280 hectares of vineyards—work.
