Note: Guide Hachette 2**(Remarkable wine) + Coup de Coeur
"Louis Trosset lets nature take its course. The 2011 vintage is dark purple, with a nose of licorice, strawberry, violet, chocolate, and prune, and a rare complexity. The palate is sappy and powerful, but still closed: you'll have to wait until 2017 for it to blossom. This wine should then be served with a rare rib of beef." (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2013)

Guide des Vins Gault & Millau
Rated estate (2012 guide) 4 stars (Very high quality production)
About the estate:
Louis and Joseph Trosset pay tribute to Mondeuse, Savoie's most challenging and demanding grape variety. It tolerates neither mediocrity nor average ripeness. On the estate's 4.50 hectares, the Trosset sons have understood this and work it with great care. The cuvées are therefore often wonderful, animalistic, peppery, spicy... "

Rated estate (2013 guide) 2 stars (These very large estates, often blessed with fabulous terroirs, are must-haves which, thanks to their consistency and the excellence of their production, deserve a place in the cellars of discerning wine lovers).
About the estate:
This 4-hectare estate is located on the beautiful hillsides of the village of Arbin, the terroir of choice for Mondeuse grapes. Masterfully managed by two brothers, Joseph (in the vineyard) and Louis (in the cellar), the family property has vines that are 25 years old on average. The soils are worked, the vinification is carried out by plot, the fermentations remain traditional and the aging, in vats, lasts from 8 to 12 months. The Mondeuse grapes are incredibly robust and stand out for their class and aromatic purity, often with a hint of aniseed freshness. The very small volumes produced make this estate too little known, but it produces wines of consistent quality and great aging potential.
