“A truly delightful Cahors wine—perfect for an impromptu dinner!”

This Cahors captivates with an expressive nose of fresh fruit, marked by aromas of morello cherry and redcurrant, enhanced by notes of spice and licorice. On the palate, it offers a supple and delicate texture, highlighting the fruit’s crispness with lovely depth and a lingering finish. An iconic wine from Clos Triguedina, combining authenticity and elegance.

Wine rated (2025 Guide) Prix Plaisir Silver (Prix Plaisir)

Rated estate (2022 guide): 3 stars (High-quality production, setting the standard in its sector)

About the estate:

Jean-Luc Baldès carries on the family legacy of this historic estate in Cahors. A large portion of the 65 hectares lies on the third terraces of Vire, along the banks of the Lot. The rest is situated on the Causse plateau and its whiter soils. While the intelligent plot selection reflects the estate’s heritage, the Prince-Probus blend offers a true representation of modern Cahors—vibrant and juicy. A must-visit destination.

Rated estate (2022 guide) Cité

About the estate:

Jean-Luc Baldès was a champion of Cahors Malbec, striving to bring out the full potential of his vineyard, located on the second, third, and fourth terraces of the Lot River. As a guardian of the vineyard’s history, the “black wine” and the Probus cuvée once brought fame to Cahors. Today, the estate is focusing on wine tourism and attempting to produce more modern wines, without really succeeding. We are therefore removing the star this year.
