Plaimont
In 1979, André Dubosc, along with several other winemakers, founded the Plaimont cooperative union (“Pl” for Plaisance, “Ai” for Aignan, and “Mont” for Saint-Mont), with the goal, in particular, of developing the Côtes de Gascogne IGP appellation and reviving the Saint-Mont appellation. Twenty years later, the Condom winery—another iconic winery in the region—joined the venture.

Today, Plaimont has become the leader in wines from the Southwest, accounting for 98% of Saint-Mont (red, white, and rosé), 55% of Madiran and Pacherenc du Vic-Bilh, and nearly 50% of Côtes de Gascogne. Plaimont brings together 800 winemaking families who tend to 5,300 hectares of vineyards.
