“An authentic and full-bodied Madiran that’s a delight to drink right away!”

"Another addition to the already impressive list of achievements by the Dousseau sisters, who were named Winemakers of the Year for the Southwest in the 2021 edition. A Favorite recognizes a modern Madiran—supple and rich, yet true to its roots. A complex nose of black fruit, licorice, and spices; a full-bodied, velvety palate, gently framed by silky, rounded tannins; and remarkable length: this delightful wine is already perfect and ready to drink, but it will age well.” (Le Guide Hachette 2025)

About the wine:

Another achievement to add to the Dousseau sisters’ already impressive list of accolades; they were named Winemakers of the Year for the Southwest in the 2021 edition. A Favorite a modern Madiran—supple and indulgent, yet true to its roots. A complex nose of black fruit, licorice, and spices; a full-bodied, velvety palate, gently framed by silky, rounded tannins; and remarkable length: this delightful wine is already perfect and ready to drink, but it will age well.

About the estate:

In 1902, Hubert Dousseau acquired the estate. Since 1995, Brigitte and Corinne, his great-granddaughters, have been managing a 22-hectare organic vineyard there. They have converted a small Gascon house in the heart of the vineyards into a guesthouse. In 2023, the fifth generation (Nathan, Corinne’s son) joined the venture. A sure bet for both Madiran and Pacherenc-du-Vic-Bilh.
