“Another addition to the Dousseau sisters’ already impressive list of accolades; they were named Winemakers of the Year for the Southwest in the 2021 edition. A Favorite recognizes a modern Madiran—supple and indulgent, yet true to its roots. A complex nose of black fruits, licorice, and spices; a full-bodied, velvety palate, gently framed by silky, well-integrated tannins; and remarkable length: this delightful wine is already perfect and ready to drink, but it will age beautifully.” (Le Guide Hachette 2025)

About the wine:
Another addition to the Dousseau sisters’ already impressive list of accolades, having been named Winemakers of the Year for the Southwest in the 2021 edition. Favorite a modern Madiran—supple and indulgent, yet true to its roots. With a complex nose of black fruits, licorice, and spices; a full-bodied, velvety palate gently framed by silky, well-integrated tannins; and remarkable length, this delightful wine is already perfect and ready to drink, though it will age beautifully.
About the estate:
In 1902, Hubert Dousseau acquired the estate. Since 1995, Brigitte and Corinne, his great-granddaughters, have been running a 22-hectare organic vineyard there. They have converted a small Gascon house in the heart of the vineyards into a guesthouse. In 2023, the fifth generation (Nathan, Corinne’s son) joined the venture. A sure bet for both Madiran and Pacherenc-du-Vic-Bilh.
