"Gros Manseng and a touch of the rare Arrufiac have produced a rich wine, full of spices, honey, and balanced citrus acidity. The wine is fresh, despite its weight and concentration. It needs a little aging, so drink from 2023 onwards." (Wine Enthusiast 2022)

About the estate:

Founded around 1850, this family estate has been passed down through six generations. Following in the footsteps of his father Louis, Didier Barré, who took over in 1983, contributed to the revival of Madiran, of which he was one of the standard-bearers. In 2017, sisters Claire and Marion Bortolussi (daughters of Alain Bortolussi of Ch. Viella) took over the reins of this flagship 25-hectare estate, forming a partnership with wine merchant Lionel Osmin to manage the estate and market its wines. The conversion to organic farming began in 2020.
