Domaine Berthoumieu
Domaine Berthoumieu is located north of the Pyrenees, equidistant from the Atlantic Ocean and the Pyrenean mountains, in the Madiran appellation. Domaine Berthoumieu was acquired in 2018 by the Bertolussi family, who also own Château Viella.

Domaine Berthoumieu extends over two typical soils: a stony-clay plateau that produces powerful, velvety AOC Madiran wines that age gracefully, and a gravelly-clay-silt slope that produces fruity, medium-ageing wines. All this makes up the bulk of Domaine Berthoumieu's 25 hectares of Madiran Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée vineyards.

Domaine Berthoumieu is now run by the Bortolussi sisters, Claire and Marion. Daughters of Alain Bortolussi of Château Viella, they have formed a partnership with wine merchant Lionel Osmin.
