Plaimont
In 1979, André Dubosc, along with several other winegrowers, created the Plaimont cooperative union ("Pl" for Plaisance, "Ai" for Aignan, and "Mont" for Saint-Mont), with the aim of developing the Côtes de Gascogne IGP appellation and reviving the Saint-Mont appellation. Twenty years later, the Condom winery, another iconic winery in the region, joined the venture.

Today, Plaimont has become the leader in Southwestern wines, covering 98% of Saint-Mont (red, white, and rosé), 55% of Madiran and Pacherenc du Vic-Bilh, and almost 50% of Côtes de Gascogne. Plaimont is home to 800 winegrowing families, who tend to 5,300 hectares of vineyards.
