Christophe Abbet
Christophe Abbet has been a true poet of wine since founding his estate in 1985: his wines, with their impressive elegance and charm, are grown on 3 hectares of steep terraces in the heart of Valais, between Martigny and Fully.
Indigenous grape varieties such as Arvine, Marsanne, and Humagne are skillfully cultivated here as micro-cuvées of a quality that mirrors the Alps: immense, pure, and radiant.
Christophe Abbet manages to move the palate with just a single tasting, such is the masterful craftsmanship of his wines: a work of winemaking artistry recognized by the greatest authorities, as Parker has been a fervent admirer for years, alongside Jacques Perrin and Antoine Petrus.
He is also known as one of Switzerland’s most unconventional winemakers, as his creations are renowned for being the most atypical: Christophe Abbet makes it a point of honor to respect his terroir by intervening as little as possible in his vineyards and letting time take its course. Furthermore, the vast majority of his vintages undergo extended aging, and they are generally released 3 to 4 years after the harvest.
Rare, precious, and dazzling vintages—true Swiss gems.
