Christophe Abbet

Christophe Abbet has been a true poet of wine ever since he founded his estate in 1985: his wines, with their impressive elegance and charm, are grown on 3 hectares of steep terraces in the heart of Valais, between Martigny and Fully. 

Indigenous grape varieties such as Arvine, Marsanne, and Humagne are skillfully cultivated here as micro-cuvées whose quality mirrors that of the Alps: immense, pure, and radiant. 

Christophe Abbet manages to move the palate with just a single tasting, so masterfully crafted are his wines: a masterpiece of winemaking recognized by the greatest authorities, as Parker has been a fervent admirer for years, as have Jacques Perrin and Antoine Petrus.

He is also known as one of Switzerland’s most unconventional winemakers, as his creations are renowned for being highly atypical: Christophe Abbet makes it a point of honor to respect his terroir by intervening as little as possible in his vineyards and letting time take its course. Furthermore, the vast majority of his wines undergo extended aging, and they generally go on sale 3 to 4 years after the harvest.
