Barbare
Founded in 2000, Barbare is the result of a collaboration between a Turkish entrepreneur and Xavier Vignon, an oenologist in Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
The Barbare vineyard is situated on blue clay marl soils over a sandstone subsoil. The vines are planted at an elevation across 23 hectares and cultivated using biodynamic methods. They benefit from a Mediterranean climate with pronounced maritime influences.
The main grape varieties found in the wines of Domaine Barbare are Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Merlot, Mourvèdre, and Grenache.
