Remhoogte Wine Estate
Established in 1812, Remhoogte Estate was bought by Murray and Juliet Boustred in 1994. This 60-hectare estate, located on the south-western slopes of Simonberg near Stellenbosch, is planted with Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz and Pinotage.
Following the buyout, the owners made major investments, including restoring the buildings, building a new winery and installing new equipment. It was at this point that Dany and Michel Rolland became involved. In 2001, they signed a partnership with Remhoogte Estate to contribute their expertise in vineyard management and blending.
The Remhoogte Estate terroir is subject to ideal climatic conditions for the production of red wines. Its special feature: the wild animals that watch over the vineyard.
