Villiera Wines
Jeff and Simon Grier founded Villiera Wines in 1983 in the Stellenbosch region. They then embarked on a major campaign to replant classic and local grape varieties. With the arrival of modern facilities for the production of still wines as well as Méthode Cap Classic wines, and a unique vision of the wine industry, Villiera Wines has become one of the country's major players, while remaining an independent, family-owned business.
Jeff Grier, a multi-award-winning winemaker, produces a range of wines defined by the unique character of Villiera's terroir and the expression of the aromas of the different grape varieties.
Villiera Wines covers 180 hectares of vineyards, cultivated without the use of pesticides. Simon Grier, head of cultivation, strives to make vineyard practices as environmentally friendly as possible, including wastewater control and recycling, and the installation of solar panels.
