The vineyards in the Constantia region are predominantly southeast-facing and benefit from the breezes from False Bay. The Constantia region is renowned for its Sauvignon Blanc, but Chardonnay, Riesling, and Sémillon are also grown there, as well as red grape varieties such as Merlot, Shiraz, and Cabernet Franc.
The soils in the Constantia region consist of granite overlaid with reddish-brown sandstone.
