Klein Constantia

Present at all European royal courts in the 18th and 19th centuries,Klein Constantia later suffered from the phylloxera crisis. It was not until 1986, after a century of dormancy, that Klein Constantia regained its former glory and has since regularly ranked among the top 10 most renowned estates in the world. Hubert de Boüard, a minority co-owner known for his other estate, Château Angelus, joined the venture in 2005.

Klein Constantia ’s vineyards span 146 hectares on the eastern slopes of Constantiaberg. The estate’s grape varieties consist primarily of Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc, as well as Muscat de Frontignan, used for Vin de Constance.
