Bettane & Desseauve
Riesling Schlossberg is a grand cru from the Kaysersberg terroir, on the Schlossberg Grand Cru, with granite soil. This terroir gives the grape variety an expression marked by citrus fruits, lemon, white flowers, and a delicious exotic touch. The palate is dense, racy, and taut, yielding a subtle mineral note. A great wine for fine dining!

Wine rated 16/20 (2017 vintage) (Very good wine)
Rated estate (2024 guide) 4 stars (Producers of very high quality, those who are the pride of French vineyards)
About the estate:
Jacky Barthelmé sums it up bluntly: "We are very happy with 2021 because it was a winemaker's vintage. Those who were in the vineyards got grapes. It didn't happen by itself. " And it must be said that tasting the range proves him right: the Pinot Noirs are as successful as ever, the Rieslings are beautiful, and even the Pinot Gris wines are more dry than in the past, which can only delight us.

Wine rated 18.5/20 (2017 vintage) (Great wine)
Rated estate (2024 guide) 3 stars (These represent the excellence of French vineyards. The best terroirs cultivated by the greatest winemakers. Tasting their wine is always a magical moment.)
About the estate:
The estate, born from the union of the Mann and Barthelmé families, two great winemaking dynasties since the 17th century, produces wines of the highest quality, emblematic of the very best that Alsace has to offer. Maurice, an inspired biodynamic farmer and part-time water diviner, has brought purity to the wines through meticulous work in the vineyard. Jacky and his son Antoine have a keen sense of winemaking for both whites and reds. The balance of the wines, their digestibility, and their depth make them models for all wine lovers. Their four reds are at the top of Alsatian production and among the finest in France. This success has made them rare wines.

Note and opinion by Mr. REMY P. Published on 02/28/2021
One of the best Rieslings ever tasted in terms of pure quality (perfect balance between bouquet and minerality), but the price (€45 per bottle) is still quite high. The website offers Loire whites for around €20 that are just as enjoyable, if not more so, but made from other grape varieties (Sauvignon or Chenin). Here, you're paying for the Albert Mann name. This was a test to see how it was (I only bought one bottle), and I'm not sure I'll order it again given the price.
