André Blanck & Fils - Riesling Schlossberg Grand Cru 2010
Rating from the Hachette Wine Guide: 2** (Remarkable Wine) + Editor’s Choice
“A golden wine with a pleasing nose blending very ripe exotic fruits, citrus, and a hint of minerality. The palate beautifully carries through these overripe aromas, adding pear and apricot to the palette. It combines richness and finesse thanks to its lovely acidity, which lends elegance and vibrancy to the long finish. This wine, which will reach its peak starting in 2015, is perfect as an aperitif and pairs well with sweet-and-sour fish dishes.” (The Hachette Wine Guide 2014)

Wonderful acidity, good length—still very good a year later, but a bottle stored in the kitchen underwent secondary fermentation during the summer (appearance of bubbles, CO2)

Tasted in November 2015, this is a beautiful wine at the peak of its maturity, very flavorful with a round and well-balanced palate.

That's for sure, it's very aromatic. But it's slightly fizzy, and to me that's a sign of poor winemaking, and it irrevocably ruins the wine.

It has just the right amount of acidity to balance out the sweetness, making it very well-balanced.
