"The Wineck-Schlossberg shines" (RVF)

"Right from the start, the bouquet of this Wineck-Schlossberg emphasizes its depth. It manages to create a link between blossoming and freshness, between spices and fruit! Salty on the attack, the wine stands out for its linear and sharp character. It manages to create a balance between acidity and austerity through its salinity and vigor. The lively finish prolongs the pleasure, emphasizing its infinite persistence. This is a wine that does not like half measures. It goes straight to the point and asserts itself with serenity. It's up to each individual to decide whether they like it or not... What a great success!" (Yves Beck 2025)

Wine rated (2026 guide) 95/100

Rated estate (2023 guide) 2 stars (These very large estates, often blessed with fabulous terroirs, are must-haves which, thanks to their consistency and the excellence of their production, deserve a place in the cellars of discerning wine lovers).

About wine:

Wineck-Schlossberg shines: the Riesling pushes the boundaries with a very sappy structure and hints of subtle bitterness.

About the estate:

In just a few years, Félix Meyer has built up a solid reputation in Alsace. This is no coincidence: the viticulture is of high quality, with closely monitored yields, and the wines are vinified on fine lees in large casks. Having joined the family estate in 1992, Félix has skillfully revealed the granite terroirs of Katzenthal. Don't overlook his Gewurztraminer, which is not at all heavy and has a crystalline purity that seduces even detractors of this often overly sweet grape variety. The estate expanded by 3.5 hectares in 2019, and in 2021 it obtained organic certification.
