Grown on Tertiary marl soils, this Gewurztraminer stands out for its lovely tension and well-defined bitter notes, marked by citrus. Nevertheless, the grape variety retains its rich, indulgent character. Delightful notes of passion fruit, candied lemon, and ginger stand out clearly on the nose. A beautiful Gewurztraminer! Bottled with a screw cap.

About the estate:
Biodynamic farming always takes a few years to show results, both in terms of root development and soil health, and Michel Chapoutier knows this well—he purchased this estate in 2009 with a few friends who are connoisseurs of fine wines. Located in northern Alsace, on a vein of blue schist, the estate is gradually finding its footing. The single-vineyard Rieslings (Burg, Buehl, and Fels) are beginning to reveal the subtle nuances of their soil.
