riesling
monopoly

This "hill of love" (Liebenberg in Alsatian) is a monopoly of the Zusslin family. The palate is full-bodied and racy, with a soft bitterness on the finish that makes it airy. A cuvée that reveals itself year after year, for the most patient!

Wine rated 16,5/20 (Vintage 2016) (Very good wine)

Domaine rated (guide 2021) 2*Stars (These great estates, often blessed with fabulous terroirs, are must-haves which, because of their consistency and the excellence of their production, must be included in the cellars of discerning connoisseurs).

About the domain :

Jean-Paul and Marie Zusslin, who continue the family winegrowing tradition that began in 1691, have been exemplary for some years now. Based in Orschwihr, in a beautiful vineyard, they form a passionate, charismatic duo, dedicated to a job well done. And they're multiplying their projects: designing a new bottle, setting up dozens of beehives and nesting boxes in the plots... Each has his own role: Marie in marketing, Jean-Paul in the vines and the cellar. Biodynamic viticulture since 1997, meticulous winemaking and precise ageing sum up the work of this benchmark domaine, where the spirit of the parcel is omnipresent, even in the crémants. The excellence of the range may well mean a rise in our rankings!
