"A stunning Malbec that goes far beyond the grape variety: one of Argentina's finest wonders in very limited quantities!"

"Probably the most austere of the three Adrianna Vineyard Malbecs. The nose is already captivating, with a touch of white pepper enhancing the deep aromas of black and blue fruits. Impressive depth and breadth, but at the same time great freshness. The difference is most obvious on the palate when compared to the Mundus Bacillus Terrae and Fortuna Terrae cuvées. Mineral tannins are present, a little less fleshy than those of Mundus, but with more tension. Harmonious, taut and long on the palate. Drink from 2026. (James Suckling 2024)

About the wine:

The Malbec River 2022 Adrianna Vineyard is without doubt the most ethereal, ethereal and light of the Catena Zapata range. It opens with a lively, open, floral bouquet, foreshadowing the stony, mineral tension that follows on the palate. On the palate, it has a taut, lively and delicately succulent texture, deceptively rich and powerful despite its agile nature, which carries through to a persistent, long finish of unwavering concentration. A perfect counterpoint to the more robust Malbec Mundus Bacillus Terrae, it will appeal to readers who seek nuance and minerality above all else. 2025-2042

About the wine:

Adrianna Vineyard River 2022 Malbec has been aged for 21 months in French oak barrels. It comes from a parcel characteristic of the terroir, planted in 1992 in Gualtallary, Tupungato, on an old riverbed. Aromas reveal notes of ripe blackberry and plum, with hints of grass, cherry, arugula, lavender and sage, complemented by notes of black tea and herbs. This Malbec brut has a chalky intensity and a fine, compact expression. It is well-defined and has a reductive character, which makes it quite intriguing. This seductive, long-lasting high-altitude Malbec evokes the elegance of a Pinot Noir. 2025-2045
