"One of the finest Australian Syrahs: it truly showcases its terroir and boasts impressive complexity!"
“Herbal notes and black fruit, with plenty of spice as well—somewhat full-bodied. Thick and full on the palate, it immediately captivates with its texture and roundness. Broad and generous, not very juicy but dense, with plenty of liveliness and energy. Round and well-rounded, very easy to drink. A wine to share with friends alongside a juicy lamb dish. Salty finish. Extremely good. 2026–2040” (Decanter 2024) — Delivery in a wooden case is available for orders of 6 bottles of this wine (depending on the country and selected shipping method)

About the wine:
Sourced exclusively from the Barossa Valley, the RWT is aged solely in French oak barrels, which sets it apart from the rest of the Penfolds lineup in two ways. Always alluring and voluptuous (and, I must admit, one of my favorites), the 2018 RWT Shiraz reaches new heights in a great Barossa vintage, with aromas of red fruit, refined hints of vanilla, and notes of baking spices, complemented by more exotic elements such as star anise and cocoa powder. It is full-bodied and velvety without losing structure, with a long, complex finish and a concentration that will allow it to age for two decades or more. 2022–2040

About the wine:
From the very first sip, this wine offers seductive and complex aromas, ranging from black cherry and blackcurrant to cedar, with notes of mocha, graphite, herbs, and black olives. Concentrated yet perfectly balanced, the palate features savory tannins, while flavors of spices and black berries blend harmoniously. It offers both power and refinement. Best enjoyed now through 2040.

About the wine:
A brilliant dark purple color. A nose of damp oak, in my opinion. Very distinctive! And certainly more than just a trial wine. A nose of camphor and very obvious ripeness. Round and very delicately crafted. I could almost drink it tonight! Clear and lively. On the palate, it seems to have strayed a bit from the Grange’s typical concentration. Appetizing and dry on the finish. Almost as light as a claret. A charmer. Excellent balance. 2022–2040

About the wine:
It has a very appealing, fresh, and vibrant nose, with aromas of ripe red cherries, blackberries, goji berries, and red currants, as well as red plums and hints of wild herbs and licorice. Very expressive and fragrant. On the palate, it offers very intense and powerful flavors of ripe red cherries and plums, along with impeccably fresh French oak (64% new) that envelops and prolongs the finish. The tannins are very ripe and well-integrated. Best enjoyed over the next two decades.
