RVF (G&M)

“An intense, deep ruby color, with an intoxicating nose of rose essence. The wine is very dense on the palate, with full-bodied tannins. A distinguished cuvée on par with a cru—and at an exceptional price! ” (The 2015 Guide to Wine Bargains - RVF Gerbelle & Maurange). A very fresh wine with a pleasant nose and lovely fruity notes of raspberry and strawberry. Excellent value for the price!

A lovely Beaujolais Villages that’s just right for the price. I open this bottle to pair with light meals when I can’t find the “perfect” pairing, and it usually works out… that’s the magic of Gamay!

Second bottle opened, and I'm still disappointed by the lack of character (not very fruity, no finish). Too bad.

A wine with a fruity profile and not a whole lot of character...

A pleasant surprise for the price—a nice, fruity wine with no acidity. My only regret is that I didn't buy more.
