Hachette Wine Guide rating: 2** (Outstanding wine) + Favorite
"A ruby-colored wine with intense aromas of strawberry and blackcurrant mixed with flowers. The full-bodied, warm palate is supported by solid tannins, which give power to the long, straightforward finish. Enjoy with a hare stew." " (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2013)

I was a bit disappointed. I expected more richness which I didn't find. Maybe the other bottles I bought will produce a better impression. The other bottles tasted proved me wrong. Wonderful fruity taste (wild strawberries) and aroma and a very pleasant, round finish.

Slightly disappointing, lacking in power, with plum aromas that are only noticeable if you look for them. Table wine.

Unfortunately, it's water... there are much better Morgon wines (and other Beaujolais vintages) from this vintage at the same price as this one...
