Rating from the Guide Hachette des Vins: 2** (Remarkable Wine) + Editor’s Choice
“A ruby-red wine with intense aromas of strawberry and blackcurrant intertwined with floral notes. The full-bodied, warm palate is supported by firm tannins, which lend power to the long, clean finish. Best enjoyed with a hare stew. ” (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2013)

A disappointing wine. It doesn't linger on the palate.

It's a little lacking in fruitiness.

Note and opinion by Mr. JANNIS G. Published on 08/22/2013
I was a little disappointed. I expected more depth, which I didn't find. Maybe the other bottles I bought will leave a better impression. The other bottles I tasted proved me wrong. They had a wonderful fruity flavor (wild strawberries) and aroma, and a very pleasant, rounded finish.

A bit of a letdown; lacks body, though plum notes are present if you look for them. Table wine.

Unfortunately, it's just average... there are much better Morgons (and other Beaujolais wines) from this vintage available at the same price as this one....
