About the wine:

Jean-Marc Laforest cultivates 7 hectares in the Régnié appellation. These vines, about 40 years old and planted on a terroir of sand and granite, have produced a wine with lovely freshness and a rich, balanced flavor. On the nose, notes of black fruit mingle with mineral undertones. On the palate, a velvety texture unfolds, supported by good tannic structure on the finish. A Régnié that is immediately enjoyable, yet will also age well.

About the estate:

A winemaker like his father and grandfather, Jean-Marc Laforest took over the reins in 1973 of an estate that now spans 20 hectares. His two sons, Thomas and Pierre, took over in 2016. The estate produces Brouilly, Côte-de-Brouilly, and Régnié wines, as well as Beaujolais-Villages.
