Château Climens

Château Climens is probably the finest example of the Barsac appellation! Its vineyards are situated on red soil dotted with pebbles and consisting of a thin layer of clayey, iron-rich sand. In 1855, Château Climens earned the well-deserved distinction of Premier Cru. Since 1992, the future of Château Climens has been in the hands of the Lurton family, which undoubtedly ensures the very best for the Château Climens vineyard.

Château Climens is a Premier Cru of the prestigious Barsac AOC, characterized by great consistency and unwavering rigor both in the vineyard and in the cellar.  Made exclusively from Sémillon, Château Climens’ wine possesses an extreme grace that is rarely found, even in the finest terroirs—undoubtedly due in part to the experience and meticulous care devoted to the vineyard. Château Climens is a wine with a very strong and captivating personality.
