Château Charron
Château Charron was built in 1731. The vineyard stretches along the banks of the Gironde on a clay-limestone hillside.
Château Charron is classified within the Premières Côtes de Blaye appellation and produces red wines (80% Merlot) and white wines (70% Sémillon). Château Charron’s wines are deeply colored, with great roundness, vitality, and distinction. The estate currently comprises 25 hectares of vineyards situated on the hills of Saint-Martin-Lacaussade, on the opposite bank of the Gironde River from the Médoc, overlooking the slopes of Blaye. The Château Charron vineyard is managed using sustainable viticulture practices, and winemaking follows traditional methods with extended maceration. The wines are then aged in barrels for 12 to 14 months, with 25% of the barrels being new.
