Haut-Canteloup Castle
Château Haut-Canteloup is located on the right bank of the Gironde estuary, facing the Médoc, in the Premières Côtes de Blaye region (50 km north of Bordeaux), and its 44-hectare vineyard stretches across the small town of Fours, not far from the magnificent Vauban-style town of Blaye. Château Haut-Canteloup is a family-run estate that has been the pride of the Bordenave family for four generations; the family also owns Château les Pierrères in the Blaye AOC

With a deep passion for viticulture, it was only natural for the new generation to turn to sustainable viticulture. For over ten years now, the Château Haut-Canteloup vineyard has been grassed, organic amendments have replaced chemical fertilizers, and pesticide treatments are used only when absolutely necessary. Combining tradition and modernity is the Bordenave family’s philosophy. Today, with Alexandre and his brother Vincent—the fourth generation at the helm of the estate—every effort is made to ensure customers receive quality wines, the result of genuine passion, family expertise, and respect for the environment and people. Château Haut-Canteloup produces red, white, and rosé wines in the Premières Côtes de Blaye appellation from various terroirs; this diversity yields distinct and well-defined characteristics. The wines thus exhibit beautiful richness and great refinement.
