Château Haut-Canteloup - Blaye Cuvée Prestige 2019
2*Coup de Coeur
Hachette
89/100
Gilbert & Gaillard
Unanimously praised by our tasters, this cuvée, aged for 12 months in barrels, has a deep, dense, almost black color. Intense and complex, the nose reveals black fruits and marzipan, accompanied by toasted oak. Supple and smooth on the attack, the palate is round, rich and fleshy, perfectly structured with a beautiful length and round, flavorful tannins. Beautiful bitter notes lend a pleasant touch of liveliness to the finish . A very fine wine that will be fully appreciated in a few years. " (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2022)

About the estate:
Catherine and Sylvain Bordenave, joined in 2003 by their sons Alexandre and Vincent, have made the Haut-Canteloup and Les Pierrères châteaux essential references in the Blaye region. They have at their disposal a beautiful 51-hectare vineyard: 30 hectares of red vines in the commune of Fours and 20 hectares of white vines in Saint-Palais-de-Blaye.

Beautiful intense ruby color with purple highlights. An inviting nose combining plum, red fruit, delicate spices, and vanilla oak. Full of strength and vitality on the palate, firm, concentrated, and deep, waiting to blossom. A beautiful traditional achievement.
