The heart of Château Les Jonqueyres beats to the rhythm of tradition and a job well done. The result is a very expressive wine that is representative of its appellation's terroir, with aromas of black fruits, ripe blackcurrants, redcurrants, etc. The palate is full-bodied, with beautiful texture and prominent tannins. Freshness and harmony!

RVF - La Revue du Vin de France / Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France
Rated estate (2012 guide) 1*Star (Up-and-coming stars or quality winemakers producing good-quality wines; you won't be disappointed when tasting the wines from these estates)
About the estate:
Merlot, which dominates (90%) this vineyard with very moderate yields, gives Jonqueyres wines a very pure fruitiness and true harmony, without any harshness. The estate—which also operates Clos Alphonse Dubreuil in Côtes de Bourg—is perfectly managed, with a beautiful heritage of old vines. The latest vintages impress with their tannic depth. They are at their best when young. Château Les Jonqueyres is currently converting to organic farming. We award it its first star."
