Château Les Pierrères

Château Les Pierrères is owned by the Bordenave family from Bordeaux, who have been running Château Haut Canteloup since the 1970s. Its 44 hectares of vineyards, located in the heart of the Premières Côtes de Blaye, produce rich and refined red, rosé, white, and crémant wines. Among these different vintages, Château Les Pierrères wine, located in the Bordeaux region in the Blaye appellation, occupies a prominent place.

The vineyards of Château Les Pierrères are spread over two islands with two different terroirs. In the commune of Fours, the vines are planted on clay-limestone plateaus, which produce excellent results in terms of richness and maturity. The wines are fruity, concentrated, and elegant. The vineyard is planted with the most noble varieties of Bordeaux, with 70% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 5% Cabernet Franc. Château Les Pierrères is made from the first two grape varieties. A second island is located in the north of the department, in the commune of Saint Palais de Blaye. On these slopes, most of which face south, Sauvignon expresses itself beautifully, combining power and complexity. The white grape varieties find a particular affinity with this siliceous-gravelly terroir.
