Château des Combes
The Château des Combes was purchased in 1858 by Pierre Ducourt. Located in the town of Ladaux, just a stone’s throw from the winemaking cellars, this estate is the family’s historic home. From this 9.6-hectare vineyard, a very typical red Bordeaux is produced, resulting from a subtle blend of different lots aged in barrels and vats.

In 1858, the Ducourt family settled at Château des Combes in Ladaux, a small rural village southeast of Bordeaux. As generations succeeded one another, a passion for wine became a profession, and the family’s expertise and vineyard were passed down and gradually enriched. Each generation has preserved the philosophy handed down by their elders: to draw out the best from each terroir by combining the common sense of the past with modern techniques, in order to craft wines that are enjoyable, authentic, and affordable, while also respecting the environment and meeting customer expectations.

Today, the Ducourt family is one of the region’s largest independent wine-producing estates: 450 hectares of vineyards spread across 14 châteaux, including Château des Combes, located in both the Entre-Deux-Mers and Saint-Émilion regions.
