Château Compassant
Château Compassant was acquired by Jean-Luc Thunevin, a wine merchant and owner already well known in the Bordeaux region who is always on the lookout for the finest plots. Château Compassant is located in Génissac in the Entre-deux-Mers region. The Château Compassant vineyard is planted on superb clay-loam soil. The wine is produced with the same meticulous care as that practiced at Château de Valandraud, also owned by Jean-Luc Thunevin.
The wine from Château Compassant benefits from a blend consisting of 80% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc, and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. The winemaking is carried out by Guillaume Quéron and concludes with 12 months of aging in entirely new oak barrels, resulting in an AOC Bordeaux wine of a quality that meets the standards Jean-Luc Thunevin imposes on all of his estates.
