"A blend of Grand Cru Classé wines at a fascinating price!"

“... It was the only single-varietal Sauvignon among our Best in Show selections this year—and its herbaceous freshness, purity, and presence make it a standout winner... At this price point, don’t expect complexity or concentration, but there is a classiness to the fruit that is rare at this level and will bring great pleasure to Sauvignon lovers. ” (Decanter 2022) - This Eva cuvée was named “Best In Show” Top 50 by Decanter, the highest distinction among wines that received a platinum medal. An award given to only 50 wines out of the 18,224 entered this year!

About the wine:

"BEST IN SHOW" AWARD: Bordeaux is rarely recognized as a source of high-quality Sauvignon Blanc—because the varietal character in this part of the world is often obscured rather than enhanced by its origin, and because many Bordeaux white wines are based on the traditional blends of Pessac-Léognan and Graves. It was the only single-varietal Sauvignon among our Best In Show selections this year—and its herbaceous freshness, purity, and presence make it a standout winner. Our judges, however, felt that its origin was part of its appeal—evident in the soft texture of its lightly oak-infused aromas, as well as the vinous liveliness and length on the palate. At this price point, don’t look for complexity or concentration, but there is a class to the fruit that is rare at this level and will bring great pleasure to Sauvignon lovers.
