Médaille d'Or

Gilbert & Gaillard

"Deep, violet color. Nose of ripe wild berries against a backdrop of spicy chocolate. Balanced, dense, and full-bodied on the palate, successfully prolonging the fruit. Beautifully chiseled tannins. A full-bodied, generous, structured style. A typical Bordeaux wine for grilled red meat." (Le Guide des Vins 2017 - Gilbert & Gaillard)

About the estate:

Belgian Émile De Schepper began investing in Bordeaux vineyards in 1950. In addition to its wine merchant business (De Mour), the family now also cultivates around 50 hectares of its own vineyards: in the Médoc region, Ch. Haut-Breton Larigaudière (Margaux), Ch. Tayet and Ch. Lacombe Cadiot (Bordeaux Supérieur); and in Saint-Émilion, Tour Baladoz and Croizille.
