"New 100% Sauvignon Blanc!"
" Complex and subtle, the bouquet of Pierre Blanche heralds an authentic wine with a focus on finesse. In addition to delicate floral nuances, the bouquet reveals notes of lemongrass and fresh bread. Slightly salty on the attack, the wine is perfectly supported by its structure, while delicate bitter notes sustain the finish and its length. A sapid and convincing wine!" (Yves Beck 2023)

Rated estate (2022 guide) 1*Star (Up-and-coming stars or quality winemakers producing good-quality wines; you won't be disappointed when tasting the wines from these estates)
About the estate:
From the family vineyard on the right bank in Vérac, near Fronsac, Hervé Lhuillier has created a true Bordeaux Supérieur brand, whose fundamentals are depth, authenticity, and careful oak aging. New Sauvignon, Malbec, and Petit Verdot vines, planted on exposed limestone (the quarries are open to visitors), will soon come into production. While the density sorting machine brought greater precision to the 2018 vintage, we remain thirsty for more in terms of the somewhat exaggerated extraction and aging. Let's give the wines time to settle before considering removing the star.

Note and opinion by Mr. GILLES D. Published on 09/03/2024
This is a lovely white Bordeaux with many assets, both in terms of aroma and taste. It has a frank and lively attack, a palate that is lively, slender, and incredibly fresh, and a full texture with enough richness to provide a pleasant silky envelope for very expressive aromas of citrus and white flowers, set against a vibrant mineral backdrop. A mouthwatering finish with salty and finely bitter accents. The whole is harmonious and very structured for a very attractive price. In short, everything you need to enjoy it with local products from Noirmoutier, such as bouquets of pink shrimp in salted butter, followed by sole meunière. Rating = 4.
