"New vintage of this best-seller with a fruity, fresh, and rather full-bodied style!"
"With its rather opulent style, carried by floral and fruity aromas, with a hint of vanilla from barrel aging, this wine does the job. Full-bodied, round, and well-structured, with tannins that are still tight, it will go well with grilled duck breast or duck with olives. (Guide Hachette 2025) - A Bordeaux Supérieur that is very pleasant to drink on any occasion!

Wine rated (2026 guide) 88/100
Rated estate (2022 guide) 1*Star (Up-and-coming stars or quality winemakers producing good-quality wines; you won't be disappointed when tasting the wines from these estates)
About the estate:
From the family vineyard on the right bank in Vérac, near Fronsac, Hervé Lhuillier has created a true Bordeaux Supérieur brand, whose fundamentals are depth, authenticity, and careful oak aging. New Sauvignon, Malbec, and Petit Verdot vines, planted on exposed limestone (the quarries are open to visitors), will soon come into production. While the density sorting machine brought greater precision to the 2018 vintage, we remain thirsty for more in terms of the somewhat exaggerated extraction and aging. Let's give the wines time to settle before considering removing the star.

Rated estate (2022 guide) Recommended
About wine:
Pleasantly fruity nose of strawberries, raspberries, and licorice. This medium-bodied red wine is fresh and juicy, with slightly bitter tannins reminiscent of tea. Drink by 2025.
Yves Beck
Wine rated (2023 guide) 89-91/100
About wine:
The bouquet of Fleur Haut Gaussens is very inviting. It immediately reveals fruit and freshness through hints of mint and red berries. This freshness is well reflected in the attack. With good density, the wine still has somewhat angular tannins, but they are well integrated and there is enough substance to round it all out. 2027-2037

Wine rated (2025 guide) 89/100
About wine:
Deep purple color with violet highlights and a black core. Intense, slightly airy nose with notes of blackberry and violet. On the palate, firm tannins, fairly full-bodied and good length.
