Château Mont-Pérat
In 1998, the Despagne family acquired Château Mont-Pérat, a 100-hectare estate comprising a single contiguous plot. Thibault Despagne has worked to enhance biodiversity on the estate by planting numerous shrubs. This initiative allows wildlife to thrive in the heart of the vineyards, thereby reducing the need for chemical treatments.
The wines of Château Mont-Pérat fall under the Bordeaux appellation. The same care is taken during production as at the Despagne family’s other estates (Château Tour de Mirambeau, Château Rauzan Despagne, and Château Bel Air-Peroncher). This approach, which combines modern and traditional methods, aims to highlight the often underappreciated terroirs of the Entre-Deux-Mers region.
