Sainte-Barbe Castle
Château Sainte-Barbe is now owned by the de Gaye family, who purchased it in 2013. The house is situated on the banks of the Garonne with a magnificent view of the river. It is built above the cellars on the ground floor, where the wine barrels were once stored. They could be rolled by hand to the riverbank to be loaded onto ships bound for England and Northern Europe.

The Château Sainte-Barbe vineyard currently covers 30 hectares of gravelly, alluvial soils on the right bank of the Garonne. Most of the vines have been replanted since the Touton family acquired the property in 1999. Strict control is key to producing high-quality fruit: numerous ditches ensure proper drainage, while grasses planted between the vine rows help balance the soil and absorb excess moisture, ensuring maximum leaf cover for perfect ripening and controlled yields.

Château Sainte-Barbe offers pleasant red wines that are a delight to drink at very attractive prices.
