La Brande Castle
Located in Belvès-de-Castillon, Château La Brande produces wines under the Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux appellation. Owned by the Todeschini family for three generations, it is currently run by Karl and Yann Todeschini, who are considered mavericks of the Right Bank.

Château La Brande is thus the younger sibling of Château Mangot, located 6 kilometers to the east of it.

Certified organic since 2020, the Château La Brande vineyard spans 16 hectares planted with Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Petit Verdot. The terrain is hilly, ranging in elevation from 15 to 70 meters, and is dotted with water sources and small woodlands. The soils at the base of the slopes are clay-loam, while the hillsides consist of clay-limestone on Fronsadais molasse with veins of flint.

The winemaker at this winery is Thomas Duclos. He is also responsible for the production of Château La Brande’s wines as well as its second wine, Marmot de La Brande, which was launched in 2015.
