Château Goubau

Château Goubau is located at the summit of the St-Philippe d'Aiguilhe plateau, in the Bordeaux region. The Château Goubau vineyard lies at the heart of a rare terroir, among the finest in the Bordeaux region. The estate is managed by its owners, Léa and Stéphane Goubau-Goossens, who devote all their efforts and passion to making the largely underrated Côtes-de-Castillon appellation and the wines they produce serious contenders to those of Saint-Emilion or Pomerol.

The vineyards of Château Goubau are planted on clay-limestone soil that provides ideal water regulation, keeping the roots cool and allowing the vines to withstand drought well. The various wines of Château Goubau, whether red or rosé, are blends of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc. The care taken throughout the winemaking process at Château Goubau has earned them awards and a place among the finest wines of the Côtes-de-Castillon.
