Château Laclaverie

Château Laclaverie, which means "the key," has been skillfully and meticulously managed by Nicolas Thienpont since 1985. Château Laclaverie is undoubtedly one of the finest estates in the Côtes de Francs, contributing to its revival in recent years.

Located at the entrance to the commune of Saint-Cibard, the Château Laclaverie vineyard covers 7.5 hectares of 100% Merlot vines planted on clay-limestone, marly, and silty soil with a clay subsoil. The vines are cultivated using grass cover, leaf removal, and thinning, and the grapes are harvested by hand.

The varied soil, a mixture of marl and silt, gives Château Laclaverie wines body, finesse, and balance, with great aging potential.
