Château Laclaverie

Château Laclaverie, which means “the key,” has been skillfully and meticulously managed by Nicolas Thienpont since 1985. Château Laclaverie is undoubtedly one of the finest estates in the Côtes de Francs, where it has been contributing to a resurgence in recent years.

Located at the entrance to the town of Saint-Cibard, the Château Laclaverie vineyard comprises 7.5 hectares of 100% Merlot vines planted on clay-limestone, marl, and loamy soil, with a clay subsoil. Cultivation practices prioritize grass cover, leaf removal, and thinning, and the grapes are harvested by hand.

The diverse soil, a blend of marl and silt, gives Château Laclaverie wines body, finesse, and balance, along with excellent aging potential.
