“A wine to share”

“The color is a sparkling, immaculate ruby red. The result of meticulous winemaking, the nose is remarkably precise and complex. The palate is a model of harmony that promises the finest development if given time to evolve. ” (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2021) The perfect companion for everyday meals and gatherings with friends!

About wine:

The wine’s color is a sparkling, immaculate ruby red. The result of meticulous winemaking, the nose is remarkably precise and complex. Resinous notes beautifully highlight the aromas of black fruit and vanilla. On the palate, it is a model of harmony that promises a magnificent finish if given time to develop.

About the estate:

Long used for mixed farming, this vineyard, founded in 1870 by Jean-Michel Chatelier's grandfather, is now dedicated solely to wine production (55 hectares), producing Graves-de-Vayres and Bordeaux wines of consistent quality, available under several labels.

About wine:

Aged for 12 months in oak, this wine is richly dense with firm tannins, flavors of blackberry, and a hint of smoky notes. It is generous and full-bodied on the palate, with a structure that will age beautifully. Best enjoyed starting in 2023.

This 100% Merlot wine offers exceptional value for money. It is grown on the left bank of the Dordogne, across from Fronsac, but in an appellation that is—unfairly—less well-known... A wine well worth waiting a few years for to fully appreciate its depth!

One of the best values for the money. Excellent, with smooth, rounded flavors. (Watch out for poor-quality corks! We’ve already encountered this problem with one or two wines on this site.)
