About the estate:
This brand, which combines the first names of Florence and Denis Dubourdieu, benefited from the expertise and marketing acumen of the renowned Bordeaux oenologist who sadly passed away in 2016. The white wines, which express the astonishing minerality of a limestone terroir more than the varietal aromas of the local grape varieties, are incomparable. A small quantity of red wine, meticulously crafted and now rivaling the perfection of the white, is also produced. These are undoubtedly the stars of the appellation! The most striking aspect of the wine is the profound classicism it embodies: a far cry from the heavy, over-oaked, and overly exuberant white wines often found at ambitious Bordeaux châteaux, the Clos Floridène white is a slender, straightforward wine, free of artifice, with crystalline purity. The red, an original expression of Cabernet Sauvignon grown on limestone, possesses the same distinguished elegance. These wines age beautifully for several years in the cellar.
