"The Guignards showed real foresight when they purchased this 28-hectare vineyard in 2008, formerly owned by the Lur-Saluces family (Yquem). It truly is a gem, just as they had predicted. Named a 'favorite' last year, this Graves red has done it again. Born from a blend dominated by Merlot (66%), it is acclaimed for its deep color and its frank bouquet of cherry, plum, licorice, and spices; its palate is equally impressive, round, full-bodied, and generous, supported by silky tannins. The long finish echoes the complex aromas of the nose. A lasting harmony.” (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2016)

About the wine:
The Guignards had a keen eye when they purchased this 28-hectare vineyard in 2008, formerly owned by the Lur-Saluces family (Yquem). It truly is a gem, just as they had predicted. Named a "favorite" last year, this Graves red has done it again. A lasting harmony.
About the estate:
The Guignard brothers—Bruno, an oenologist; Dominique, an agricultural engineer; and Pascal, who brings experience from South Africa—carry on the legacy of previous generations. Based in the southern Graves region near the imposing Château de Roquetaillade, built for a nephew of the Gascon Pope Clement V, they manage several vineyards.

Very good: a pleasant aroma and a light flavor that my partner enjoyed—even though she usually doesn't like Bordeaux wines. I recommend it to everyone!
