“This will be a hidden gem of this vintage, and I’d certainly be delighted to have a bottle of it on my table! ~ Jeb Dunnuck”
“The intensity of the bouquet does not detract from its complexity! Notes of red berries, which lend freshness, blend with aromas of black berries, licorice, and pepper. Fresh and slightly creamy on the palate, the wine features well-defined tannins that offer a distinct power, harmonizing with the acid structure. A wine that has yet to fully realize its potential, but which is laying the groundwork in a delightful and promising way.” (Yves Beck 2026)

A harmonious, well-rounded, and flavorful blend composed of 62% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot, and 3% Cabernet Franc. A medium-bodied wine with silky tannins and a velvety texture. Aromas of juicy fruit enhanced by a hint of spice. A lingering finish.

About the wine:
Composed of 62% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot, and 3% Cabernet Franc, aged 30% in new French oak barrels and the remainder in once-used barrels as well as amphorae, the Château d’Agassac 2025 is a magnificent wine with ripe, pure aromas of red and black fruits, along with notes of graphite, violet, and tobacco. Medium-bodied on the palate, it is precise, with fine tannins and a lovely overall balance. It will be an unsung gem of this vintage, and I would certainly be delighted to have a bottle of it on my table.
