Currently closed, a sign that this wine has the structure needed to age. It is a serious wine, with spicy notes of blackcurrant and blackberry, fresh acidity, and generous tannins. Pleasant, it perfectly illustrates the value for money found in the 2016 vintage. 54% Cabernet Sauvignon, 42% Merlot, 4% Petit Verdot. 2022–2036

For several years now, this estate—which enjoys an excellent location on the edge of the Margaux appellation—has been producing a wine that offers remarkable value for the price. About the wine:

The nose is fruity and elegant, with lovely definition, a rich, indulgent character, and ripe, juicy fruit. It features notes of plump, juicy blackberry and strawberry, with a lighter hint of raspberry, combined with subtle touches of blackcurrant and small berries, violet, toasted notes, Bourbon vanilla, as well as a very subtle hint of licorice and an imperceptible hint of Cuben pepper. On the palate, it is fruity, balanced, and offers good definition, juiciness, a very subtle creaminess, richness, smoothness, finesse, and an airy quality. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of plump blackberry, chocolate, blackcurrant, and, more subtly, ripe red berries, combined with hints of flowers, ripe/fresh raspberry, licorice, and a very subtle hint of cardamom and caramelization. The tannins provide structure.
