"This Cru Bourgeois perfectly illustrates the quality-price ratio that can be found in the 2016 vintage! ~ Decanter "
"Garnet red with purplish highlights. Intense, complex bouquet with a superb combination of different elements. Notes of cherry, peppermint, licorice wood and dark berries fruits such as blackcurrant and blackberry. Lively, fruity and delicious on the palate. On the palate, the wine reveals itself with elegance and charm. It has body, breed and smooth, perfectly integrated tannins that combine ideally with structure. The structure has verve, breed and confers a beneficial freshness. What a success! A wine of character that will be hard to resist... and yet it deserves to be kept. One of Cambon la Pelouse's greatest successes! Bravo!!!" (Yves Beck 2018) - Delivery in wooden case possible for orders of 6 bottles of this wine (depending on country and shipping method selected)

Bettane & Desseauve
Domaine rated (2016 guide) 1*Star (A serious, recommendable production, in line with what one has the right to expect from its appellation(s))
About the domain :
Situated in the southern Médoc, this vast 60-hectare vineyard, ideally located near Châteaux Giscours and Cantemerle on the Macau hillside, is rightly gaining in renown. Since 1996, it has belonged to Jean-Pierre Marie, who works in partnership with his son Nicolas.

Wine rated (2020 guide) 92/100
About the wine:
Closed for the moment, a sign that this wine has the necessary structure to age. This is a serious wine, with spicy blackcurrant and blackberry notes, fresh acidity and generous tannins. Pleasant, it perfectly illustrates the quality-price ratio to be found in the 2016 vintage. 54% Cabernet Sauvignon, 42% Merlot, 4% Petit Verdot. 2022-2036
Guide Hachette des vins
Wine noted (guide 2020) 1*Star (Very successful wine)
About the wine:
Well-built and elegant, this wine is a fine ambassador for the appellation. Its deep garnet-red color with purplish highlights, and its bouquet of ripe red fruit, make it a fine ambassador for the appellation. It is undeniably full-bodied, ample and finely wooded.

Domaine noté (guide 2016) Sélectionné (We remind you that this guide is a prize list and as such, all the estates that appear in it, even without a star, represent, in our eyes, the excellence of French production).
About the domain :
For several years now, this well-situated vineyard on the edge of the Margaux appellation has been producing a wine offering remarkable value for money. Under the guidance of Annick and Jean-Pierre Marie, it has gradually found its feet, and the ageing of the vineyard now enables it to reach a very high level, in a style that is seductive, but not devoid of finesse.

About the wine:
This rich wine is built on generous tannins and dense aromas of black plum. A hint of dark chocolate adds depth and a subtle extraction that doesn't dull the delicious ripe fruit. Drink from 2023.

About the wine:
A very classic Haut-Médoc, with notes of blackcurrant and blackberry. The balance is quite classic, with elegant, moderately dry tannins and a long, clean finish. A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot. For drinking or cellaring.

Vert de Vin
Wine rated (2019 guide) 92-93/100 (Jonathan Choukroun Chicheportiche)
About the wine:
The nose is fruity, elegant and offers lovely definition, gourmandise and ripe, juicy fruit. Fleshy/juicy blackberry, fleshy/juicy strawberry and, more lightly, raspberry notes are combined with hints of blackcurrant/small berry, violet, toastiness, Bourbon vanilla, as well as a very discreet hint of licorice and an imperceptible touch of Cuben pepper. Fruity and well-balanced on the palate, with good definition, juiciness, fine unctuosity, gourmandise, suavity, finesse and an airy quality. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of fleshy blackberry, chocolate, blackcurrant and, more lightly, ripe red berries, combined with a hint of flowers, ripe/fresh raspberry, licorice and a very discreet hint of cardamom and caramelization. Structured tannins.
