Sénilhac Castle
Château Sénilhac is run by Loïs and Jean-Luc Grassin, who carry on the work of their father, Michel Grassin. The 20-hectare vineyard, comprising a single contiguous plot, is situated on a clay-limestone terroir in the Bordeaux region. This terroir contains a significant underground water reserve—precious during years of drought—which lends Château Sénilhac’s wine harmony and richness. The combination of terroir and grape varieties makes Château Sénilhac a round, supple, lively, and full-bodied Haut-Médoc wine. The Château Sénilhac vineyard produces approximately 130,000 bottles. Winemaking is carried out with care and attention in a modern winery, while respecting traditional methods. Château Sénilhac’s wine is then aged in oak barrels, carefully selected and arranged in an aging cellar.
